Lead DevOps Engineer
About The Position
Retail Services and Systems, Inc. (dba Total Wine & More) is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to work at our Bethesda, MD HQ location. You will design CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps tools. You will lead a devops team of engineers and be responsible for deployment pipelines, code reviews, best practices, and framework maintenance. You will write builds for different apps (web/APIs/Database/Windows) and build docker containers and deploy on AKS/GKE cluster using YAML scripts. You will create deployment pipelines to deploy classical apps (Web app, Window services, SQL DB) and (Azure) Kubernetes services (Docker containers). You will implement and improve zero-downtime deployments (blue-green, rolling, canary). You will manage Infrastructure as Code and use configuration management tools in a cloud environment such as Azure. You will work with and across multiple Agile teams to oversee development, testing, deployment, and support of technology solutions. You will support and facilitate test automation practices to increase deployment frequency and improve confidence in delivered software. You will develop documentation of CI/CD pipelines and communicate to dev teams on pipeline changes. Little domestic travel to another Total Wine office for meetings/training may be involved not to exceed 60 days/yr and 5 days/trip. May undergo background checks incl drug screen.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or related field
- 7 years relevant DevOps engineering experience.
- 1 year experience in leading DevOps engineers
- 1 year experience in .NET Core
- 1 year experience in SQL Server or Azure SQL/CosmosDB
- 1 year experience in design/architectural patterns (Dependency Injection, MVC)
Responsibilities
