About The Position

As a Lead Development Miner/Jumbo Operator at Dumas, you will lead a development crew and operate a Jumbo drill to advance underground headings safely and efficiently. This role involves drilling, blasting, and installing ground support while ensuring adherence to mine plans and safety standards.

Requirements

Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core with all required specialty modules
Minimum 3 years’ experience operating a Jumbo drill in underground development mining.
Ability to cycle a full round and interpret drilling patterns accurately.
Proven experience leading a development crew.
Outstanding safety record and strong mechanical aptitude.
Excellent safety record and commitment to safe work practices.
Canadian citizen, or authorized in writing to work in Canada under federal immigration requirements, and currently be residing in Canada.

Underground Hard Rock Mining Supervisory Common Core modules are a strong asset.

Responsibilities

Operate Jumbo drill to cycle full rounds according to the mining plan, following geology control for minimal dilution.
Lead a development crew to achieve safe and productive results.
Construct and maintain underground installations as the face advances.
Organize muck removal and maintain clean, safe work areas
Ensure compliance with Dumas and site-specific safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment, reporting all issues promptly.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet all targets.
Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.
