About The Position

Cambridge Dental Group in Dearborn Heights is seeking a skilled, motivated, and team-oriented Lead Dental Assistant to help lead our clinical team while delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, modern dental practice. This role involves leading and supporting the dental assisting team, assisting doctors chairside, training new team members, maintaining clinical workflow, ensuring infection control, supporting patient experience, and collaborating with leadership to improve systems.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Dental Assistant
• Strong proficiency in making high-quality temporary crowns
• Hands-on experience using iTero intraoral scanners
• Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care
• Willingness to work 2 Saturdays per month as part of your regular schedule
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-year related experience and /or training; or equivalent of combination of education and experience in the dental profession.
• Valid X-ray certificate.
• Current license if CDA, RDA, or EFDA (per state requirements)
• CPR & first aid certificate.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the dental assisting team to ensure efficient daily operations
• Assist doctors chairside during a variety of dental procedures
• Train and mentor new clinical team members
• Maintain clinical workflow and ensure operatories are fully prepared
• Ensure sterilization and infection control protocols are consistently followed
• Support a positive patient experience from start to finish
• Collaborate closely with doctors and leadership to improve systems and efficiency
