About The Position

Piedmont Regional Dental Clinic is seeking a motivated and compassionate Lead Dental Assistant to provide hands-on patient care while leading and supporting our dental assisting team. In this role, you'll serve as a key member of our clinical leadership team, helping to coordinate daily operations, mentor staff, improve workflows, and ensure an exceptional experience for both patients and providers. Requirements

• Certified Dental Assistant with x-ray certification as required by Virginia regulations.
• Minimum of three years of dental assisting experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for teamwork, patient care, and helping others succeed.

Nice To Haves

• Previous leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance and support high-quality patient care.
• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of dental assistants.
• Coordinate daily clinical workflows and staff assignments.
• Partner with providers and clinic leadership to improve efficiency and patient access.
• Support onboarding, training, and professional development of clinical staff.
