Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; dental assistant certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a dental assistant, with leadership experience a plus.
- Current CPR and AED certification required.
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in dental software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures and ensure a smooth workflow.
- Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and treatment plans.
- Oversee sterilization of instruments and maintain a clean and organized operatory.
- Train and mentor junior dental assistants, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Provide exceptional patient care by addressing concerns and ensuring comfort.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient follow-ups effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
- Assist in inventory management and ordering dental supplies as needed.
