About The Position

E.A. Sween is hiring an experienced Lead Delivery Driver for their overnight operation. This is a hands-on, working lead role where the driver will operate a 26-ft box truck on local routes, delivering fresh food products to 7-Eleven stores. The role also involves training and supporting other drivers, coordinating daily route execution, and ensuring daily operations run safely and efficiently. A CDL is not required, but at least 6 months of experience driving a box truck or larger vehicle is necessary. The position requires flexibility to cover routes and shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays, in a fast-paced overnight environment.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience driving a box truck or larger vehicle
Must be at least 21 years old
Valid driver’s license in your state of residence
MVR that meets company guidelines
DOT compliant
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to train, coach, and support other drivers
Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
Ability to push and pull up to 250 lbs.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced overnight operation
Flexibility to cover routes and shifts as needed, including weekends, holidays, and scheduled days off

Responsibilities

Drive a 26-ft box truck on local delivery routes
Deliver fresh food products to 7-Eleven stores
Cover open routes and shifts as needed
Train, coach, and support new and current drivers
Help coordinate daily route execution
Support drivers with route, delivery, and operational issues
Ensure manifests, FERs, DOT logs, and required documentation are completed accurately
Monitor fleet cleanliness and readiness
Reinforce DOT, HACCP, OSHA, and company safety standards
Assist with vehicle incidents and workers’ compensation reporting
Partner with the Distribution Supervisor to keep operations running smoothly
