About The Position

E.A. Sween is hiring an experienced Lead Delivery Driver for an overnight operation. This is a hands-on working lead role involving local deliveries of fresh food products to 7-Eleven stores in a 26-ft box truck. The role also trains and supports drivers and helps keep daily operations safe and efficient. Routes are local, and drivers return home daily. No CDL is required. The position supports a 24/7 operation and requires flexibility to cover routes and shifts as needed, including weekends, holidays, and scheduled days off.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience driving a box truck or larger vehicle.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
MVR that meets company guidelines.
DOT compliant.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to train, coach, and support other drivers.
Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
Ability to push and pull up to 250 lbs.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced overnight operation.
Flexibility to cover routes and shifts as needed, including weekends, holidays, and scheduled days off.

Responsibilities

Drive a 26-ft box truck on local delivery routes.
Deliver fresh food products to 7-Eleven stores.
Cover open routes and shifts as needed.
Train, coach, and support new and current drivers.
Help coordinate daily route execution.
Support drivers with route, delivery, and operational issues.
Ensure manifests, FERs, DOT logs, and required documentation are completed accurately.
Monitor fleet cleanliness and readiness.
Reinforce DOT, HACCP, OSHA, and company safety standards.
Assist with vehicle incidents and workers’ compensation reporting.
Partner with the Distribution Supervisor to keep operations running smoothly.
