About The Position

Peraton seeks a Lead Data Engineer / SME to support Department of Defense Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) with leading the Analytic Development Team to build and maintain the DODIN data foundation through data engineering, pipeline management, and analytics integration. Location: Fort Meade, MD. Primary Responsibilities include: Lead team of 7 engineers and developers Architect ETL processes and data integration solutions Oversee API and data services development for JCWA systems Implement SchemaOne standards and data quality controls Guide DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Manage enterprise data flows between DASC, DAOs, and partners Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Requirements

  • Minimum of 16 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 14 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 10 years with Ph.D.
  • Expert proficiency in Python, SQL, and pipeline frameworks (Airflow, NiFi)
  • Strong experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
  • Experience with cloud platforms and containerization
  • Knowledge of API development and microservices
  • 4+ years leading technical teams
  • U.S Citizenship required
  • TS with ability to obtain/maintain SCI

Nice To Haves

  • AWS/Azure/GCP certifications
  • Master's degree preferred in Computer Science or Data Engineering (Bachelor's degree required)
