About The Position

Provide supervisory support to Custodial Supervisor and performs custodial duties in accordance with GIC contracts.

Requirements

• High School diploma equivalent preferred
• Two years custodial experience required
• Ability to stand
• Ability to go up and down stairs
• Ability to speak
• Ability to hear
• Ability to work with little direct supervision
• Ability to operate machinery without posing a safety hazard to self or others
• Ability to write
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to read
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Full range of motion above the head
• Ability to bend, lift and carry
• Ability to complete tasks with numerous interruptions
• Compassion and respect for persons with special needs and the ability to earn their confidence
• Lifting up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• May be required to regularly stand for extended periods of time, walk, reach with hands/arms with full range of motion, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, push or pull.
• Regularly required to talk and hear.
• Frequently required to use hands and fingers to hold, handle and feel objects, knobs, keys and/or buttons.

• Gathering and distributing equipment and supplies to custodial staff
• Performing custodial duties
• Assisting in the training of new employees/trainees
