About The Position

Join Our Team at the Family YMCA of Greater Augusta! Do you take pride in creating clean, safe, and welcoming spaces? The Family YMCA of Greater Augusta is seeking a Lead Custodian to help maintain our facility while providing day-to-day leadership and support to our custodial team. As a working lead, you'll coordinate daily custodial tasks, assist with training and mentoring staff, help maintain facility standards, and ensure our members enjoy a clean and safe environment every day.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Custodial or facilities experience required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must obtain Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 45 days of hire.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is required.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Lead and support daily custodial operations.
• Perform cleaning and minor maintenance throughout the facility.
• Train and coach custodial staff.
• Monitor facility cleanliness and safety standards.
• Assist with inventory, event setup, and building security.
• Provide outstanding customer service while living the YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
