Responsible for performing highly complex cleaning and sanitizing tasks in state supported living centers including residents’ homes, bedrooms, office spaces, medical and activity areas. Conducts inspections of the buildings and equipment to ensure that they meet cleanliness and safety standards. Manages the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. Provide backup support to other custodians as needed. Supports the custodial manager in overseeing and planning general custodial functions. Keeps accurate records of custodial activities such as cleaning schedules, maintenance tasks, and any incidents or issues. Analyzes current custodial operations and identifies areas where efficiency and effectiveness could be improved. Ensures that buildings and cleaning equipment are properly maintained and repaired. Manages custodial supplies including monitoring inventory levels, restocking cleaning materials, and ensuring that necessary supplies are always available to custodial staff. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. This position acts as lead to other custodians and backs up Custodial Manager in times of absence.
