This is a full-time Lead CRNA Inpatient position within Wake Forest University Health Sciences - Anesthesiology. The role involves partnering with physician and operational leaders to optimize clinical practice, improve quality, and support strategic goals. Responsibilities include participating in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), coordinating clinical onboarding, and championing engagement and well-being initiatives. The position also involves providing mentorship and professional development to APPs, and collaborating with various market directors and councils. Clinically, the role requires assessing, diagnosing, and managing patient care, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, prescribing interventions, and providing health promotion and disease prevention counseling. The Lead CRNA will manage patients within an interdisciplinary team, maintain accurate electronic medical records, and ensure timely documentation and billing. They will also facilitate coordinated care and communication among healthcare team members and perform office or hospital procedures as applicable. Other responsibilities include participating in quality and safety initiatives, peer review, and departmental meetings, as well as contributing to the education and onboarding of new team members and students. The role requires maintaining productivity, access, and quality metrics for optimal patient care delivery, and demonstrating knowledge of age-specific care needs.
