About The Position

Alpine Springs Addiction Treatment is a drug and alcohol treatment center located in Linesville, PA (Withdrawal Management/ Detox & Clinically Managed Residential), that offers individualized treatment using evidence-based practices to those struggling with addiction to leave our facility with the coping skills and knowledge to live a better, healthier lifestyle. To meet the needs of our clients, our treatment facility is open 24/7. Alpine Springs is seeking candidates who are empathetic and passionate about helping others in a time of need. The ideal candidate must be people-focused, team oriented, flexible, possess good interpersonal skills, and can multi-task. The Lead Counselor provides chemical dependency clinical services of Alpine Springs Linesville, LLC, to clients and their families consistent with the Alpine Springs Linesville, LLC, policies and procedures, and the PA Health Department. Also, assists Clinical Supervisor with Counseling department.

Requirements

  • Ability to conduct the twelve core functions of a counselor.
  • Skilled in individual and family counseling and facilitate groups.
  • Ability to complete an initial and ongoing assessment of clients.
  • Ability to develop a measurable treatment plan.
  • Ability to organize, schedule, and keep accurate records with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Knowledge of clinical documentation - progress notes, Biopsychosocial, D/C summary, Continuing Care Plan etc.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, or other related fields.
  • One year of full-time work experience (or 4,000 part-time hours) delivering substance abuse treatment services.
  • Education and experience will be in compliance with the PA department of Health Rules and Regulations Chapter 704.7.
  • Knowledge of clinical documentation; progress notes, Biopsychosocial, D/C summary, Continuing Care Plan, etc.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records.
  • Knowledge of DDAP regulations, Carelon and CCВН.
  • Knowledge of utilization reviews.
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite or related software).
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, listening, writing, attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Must be flexible (facility is 24/7).

Nice To Haves

  • At least one to two years’ supervisory experience preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (preferred but will train).

Responsibilities

  • Document a complete assessment, individual treatment plan, progress notes, transition plan and discharge summary for each client according to Alpine Springs Linesville, LLC policies and procedures, and the PA Department of Health Drug & Alcohol Licensing laws and regulations.
  • Provide assistance with supervision to Counseling department.
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to clients.
  • Provide chemical dependency family counseling services to clients and family members.
  • Ensure client confidentiality at all times.
  • Participates in the implementation and maintenance of the DDAP standards.
  • Trains and develops both current and new counselors.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
