About The Position

This position is responsible for serving as a Shift Lead to other Correction Monitors. The role involves monitoring the activity of residents in a corrections facility, ensuring their accountability, safety, security, and compliance with facility rules. The Lead Corrections Monitor also acts as a liaison between residents and counselors, communicating important information, and administering drug/alcohol testing as required.

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D.
One year experience performing security work preferred OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a valid state driver’s license.
Ability to obtain N.C.I.C and F.C.I.C.
Ability to respond to emergency situations quickly and calmly while maintaining control and initiating the proper corrective action.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Valid State Drivers License

Responsibilities
