Tigg's Canteen Services is looking for a reliable and motivated Lead Cook to become part of our team at Ottawa County Jail. Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• The ability to work well in a structured correctional environment
• The ability to read and follow company recipes
• The ability to lead, instruct, and assist with kitchen operations
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
• Flexibility to work varying days and hours between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM
• The ability to obtain clearance approval into the facility

Nice To Haves

• Previous food service or kitchen experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Leading, instructing, and assisting inmates in the kitchen.
• Preparing meals according to company recipes
• Food preparation and cooking
• Baking
• Kitchen clean-up
• Following company procedures and food service standards
• Working effectively within a structured correctional environment
• Safely handling and lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
