About The Position

Rite of Passage Team is hiring a Lead Cook at Norris Academy in Andersonville, TN. Norris Academy is a residential treatment facility that offers comprehensive, holistic services to youth with autism spectrum disorders, and/or other neurodevelopmental diagnosis. As a cook at Norris Academy, you will be preparing nutritious, balanced meals and snacks for our residents and staff. This is a 100% onsite position. After 40 years of improving the lives of youth, we are looking for passionate advocates to continue the legacy of helping young people become successful adults. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age
Have a High School diploma or equivalent
Must have a clean driving record and show proof of vehicle insurance
Be able to pass a background screening, drug test, and physical
Have a passion to work with and help children

Responsibilities

Lead and supervisor kitchen staff
Manage inventory
Place supply orders
Shop at Walmart, Sam's Club and other stores for specialty items
Preparing meals, and then grilling, frying, or baking it, adjusting to dietary needs for 3 meals per day plus snack for 60-100 people in a residential cafeteria 365 days a year.
Serving meals and maintaining food safety
Cleaning workspaces, utensils, & dishes, and sanitizing
Enforce facility rules, policies, and routines
