About The Position
Tigg's Canteen Services is hiring a Permanent Full-Time Lead Cook for Jackson County Jail in Jackson, MI. If you have a positive attitude, strong character, integrity, and enjoy working in a structured environment, we want to hear from you!
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a structured correctional environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- Flexibility to work varying shifts between 7:00 AM-6:00 PM
- Must be approved for clearance into the facility
Nice To Haves
- Previous food service or kitchen experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person!
Responsibilities
- Leading, directing, and assisting inmates within the kitchen
- Lead and assist with daily meal preparation
- Prepare, bake, and cook meals according to company recipes
- Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Follow company policies and facility procedures
