About The Position
Come join us at Mount Carmel Care Center! We are a Faith-Based, Non-Profit, boutique-sized Long-Term Care facility (69 beds), nestled in the heart of the Berkshires. Twice voted "Best of the Berkshires," we are sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm since 2013 and maintain a mission-based environment for our staff and residents. We are seeking to hire a Lead Cook/Supervisor.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Institutional cooking and food service supervisory experience.
- Work within a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of the team.
- Must be able to interact with elderly residents and their families.
Responsibilities
- Prepare meals according to menus and recipes for the day.
- Supervise kitchen staff when Dietary Director is absent.
- Ensure all prep work is completed, labeled and dated.
- Utilize meal management system for printing tickets, adding new residents, etc.
- Ensure proper sanitation of the kitchen and equipment; proper use and care of all dishes, glassware and utensils.
- Close the kitchen at end of shift.
- Interact with families and residents regarding meals.
