Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred
  • 5–10 years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; managerial experience strongly preferred
  • 0–3 years of hands-on experience with PLC programming (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens), HMI design, and SCADA systems
  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, including power distribution, motor control, and instrumentation
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (NEC, NFPA, UL) and experience with electrical CAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN preferred)
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, prioritization, and data analysis skills; adaptable to shifting priorities and tight execution deadlines
  • Effective communicator with technical and non-technical stakeholders; capable of coaching and leading others while upholding safety, quality, and productivity standards

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain documentation, including electrical schematics, control system diagrams, and technical specifications
  • Conduct periodic site observations and other services required by the contract service agreement
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, process engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical and control systems into manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Provide technical support and training to production teams to ensure proper operation and maintenance of electrical and control systems
  • Lead projects related to electrical and sustainability
  • Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement control systems, including PLC programming, HMI design and SCADA systems
