About The Position

Our campus in Aurora, IL (Two sites, Aurora Pads & Aurora Slurries) is seeking a Continuous Improvement (CI) Lead Engineer. The CI Lead Engineer will play a critical role in driving yield gains across the two sites and associated supply chain. Leveraging deep expertise in process mapping, Six Sigma, Lean and high-impact transformations, this individual will ensure that yield solutions are prepared for success, implemented and sustained. As a key contributor to the Continuous Improvement team, this Engineer will help assess processes and KPI’s across the Aurora Campus sites and ensure improvement road maps are defined, executed, and sustained. This role will also coordinate with the larger CI community to share best practices and learnings to drive the Entegris Way mindset.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment driving Lean and Six Sigma programs across a large-scale and diverse manufacturing footprint
  • Experience in driving a lean before digitize mindset across the supply chain with a global team
  • Formal Six Sigma training and associated Lean, Blackbelt and SPC credentials is preferred
  • Willing to travel but less than 10%
  • Undergraduate degree in applicable field, engineering, computer science, business - information technology

Responsibilities

  • Lead Continuous Improvement projects by identifying high value losses (i.e. in yield, output, delivery, labor, scrap etc.), prioritizing, involving necessary resources, following structured approaches, delivering and sustaining expected results within the committed timelines.
  • Develop and implement CI strategies to streamline processes and eliminate waste to drive Yield and process optimizations.
  • Utilize methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to drive process improvements.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of current processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Implement Lean principles to optimize these processes prior to digital transformation.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business units, to ensure that Lean improvements are integrated seamlessly with digital technologies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Provide training and support to employees to adopt Lean methodologies and new digital tools and processes.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for further enhancement.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions to educate employees on Lean methodologies and digital tools.
  • Participate in and/or lead programs around Skill gap resolution, Production Elements, Productivity AOP, 5S, Tier daily management (TDM), etc.
