The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) is seeking a Lead Content Designer to work on written digital content for Workforce Australia, the Australian Government's national employment services program. This program assists individuals in finding and maintaining employment, accessing training, connecting with employment providers, and searching for jobs, while also supporting businesses in recruitment. The Participant Content Team, responsible for creating and managing participant-facing content, aims to deliver clear, accessible, and engaging information to help millions of Australians understand their obligations, navigate employment services, and access support. The role operates at the intersection of policy, service delivery, and digital channels, playing a crucial role in enhancing participant experience and supporting government employment programs. The team supports various initiatives including reforms to assessment and triaging, enhancements to search functions and information architecture, Digital Employment Fund streamlining, a Stream 3 trial, and career mapping. The Lead Content Designer will be part of a high-performing team focused on web and notification content within both unauthenticated and authenticated environments, requiring expertise in UX writing, web writing, and communication writing. The role also involves working as part of a virtual team from one of DEWR's Australian offices.
