About The Position

Habitat for Humanity Golden Empire, Inc. is seeking an experienced, hands-on Lead Construction Supervisor to oversee and participate in residential construction, remodeling, home repair, and new home construction projects. This is a working-lead position requiring a skilled construction professional who can effectively manage day-to-day jobsite operations while also performing hands-on construction work. The Lead Construction Supervisor will provide direction to employees, subcontractors, and volunteers while helping ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of workmanship.

Requirements

  • Strong residential construction experience.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in framing, drywall, carpentry, remodeling, residential repairs, and home maintenance.
  • Previous experience supervising or leading construction employees, subcontractors, and/or volunteers.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work across multiple projects.
  • Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A dependable and professional work ethic.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals of varying construction experience and skill levels.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.
  • The employee must also be able to reliably report to assigned jobsites.
  • A background check, drug screening, and pre-employment physical will take place after a conditional offer of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and actively participate in residential construction, remodeling, repair, and new home construction projects.
  • Supervise and coordinate employees, volunteers, subcontractors, and other jobsite personnel.
  • Perform and oversee framing, drywall, carpentry, repairs, general maintenance, and related residential construction work.
  • Plan and organize daily jobsite activities and prioritize tasks to keep projects progressing efficiently.
  • Train, mentor, and provide clear direction to volunteers and less experienced workers.
  • Conduct jobsite safety meetings and inspections.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites.
  • Follow and enforce OSHA safety requirements and established organizational safety procedures.
  • Coordinate materials, tools, equipment, and labor necessary to complete assigned projects.
  • Monitor construction progress and identify potential scheduling, material, or workforce issues.
  • Communicate project status, needs, challenges, and jobsite concerns to management in a timely and professional manner.
