About The Position

The company is seeking a highly skilled Lead Comms Specialist, Enterprise Communications with deep expertise in internal communications for manufacturing, supply chain, and global operations teams. This role is designed for a communicator who understands the challenges of reaching frontline manufacturing employees across multiple sites, shifts, languages, and regions, and can develop communication strategies that resonate with them. The specialist will act as a strategic partner to leaders in Global Operations and the executive team, leveraging strong executive presence and storytelling abilities to enhance alignment, engagement, and a shared sense of purpose across Dexcom’s global workforce. The role involves shaping the employee experience for thousands of operations-based employees by building accessible, relevant, and actionable communication systems for those on the production floor, in clean rooms, or driving operational impact across global manufacturing sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in internal communications, preferably within industries with large manufacturing or operational workforces.
  • Proven success creating communication strategies for frontline, non-desk, and shift-based teams.
  • Significant experience developing communications for global operations, including multisite and multiregional environments.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, advise, and present to senior leaders.
  • Experience supporting executives with messaging, tone, and strategic communication counsel.
  • Expertise with internal communication platforms such as SharePoint, Viva Engage, and digital signage.
  • Outstanding writing, editing, and storytelling skills across formats and channels.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects, prioritize effectively, and adapt to evolving needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead enterprise-wide internal communication strategies with a specific focus on manufacturing, supply chain, and global operations teams.
  • Lead communication efforts across Dexcom’s global manufacturing network, ensuring alignment across time zones, cultural norms, and regional requirements.
  • Create scalable, multisite communication plans that effectively reach shift-based and non-desk employees, ensuring clarity, consistency, and accessibility.
  • Partner directly with business partners and senior leaders—including Operations, HR, and Executive Leadership—to craft compelling, clear, and confident messaging for business updates, change initiatives, cultural moments, and strategic priorities.
  • Prepare executives for site visits, town halls, and manufacturing focused engagement moments with talking points, scripts, and communication coaching.
  • Design communications tailored for production environments, using channels such as digital signage, mobile friendly content, manager cascade tools, lineside briefings, and facility-based engagement programs.
  • Build communication frameworks that support safety, quality, productivity, and operational culture.
  • Own and manage a portfolio of communication channels including the intranet, newsletters, Viva Engage communities, manager toolkits, and site-based platforms.
  • Produce a wide range of high-quality content: executive messages, operations updates, video scripts, presentations, articles, and storytelling pieces that highlight operational excellence and employee impact.
  • Track communication effectiveness using data and site level feedback, analyzing trends to enhance reach and impact—especially for non-desk audiences.
  • Stay informed on best practices for frontline communications, operations storytelling, and global engagement strategies.
