BF ConstructionWestminster, CA

About The Position

We are looking for a seasoned Project Manager who has led complex jobs, managed difficult trades, proactively identified and resolved issues, and successfully delivered projects. This role requires a PM who can meticulously plan projects before they commence and manage them through completion. Our Project Managers are hands-on builders, not just administrators. You will be responsible for detailed job planning before any crews arrive, including developing realistic schedules, sequencing trades appropriately, and ensuring all necessary preparations are in place for each crew. The role involves a balance of field and office work, with time spent in the field verifying quality and anticipating upcoming needs, and in the office developing and maintaining the project plan to ensure smooth operations. The position covers the full project lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout and requires multi-site travel. Compensation is above-market, reflecting the required experience level.

Requirements

  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of commercial construction across multiple trades — you've worked it, not just managed it from a desk
  • Proven ability to build real schedules and keep them current, with trades stacked in the right order
  • Experience managing multiple job sites and coordinating diverse stakeholder groups
  • Strong attention to detail — submittals, scope changes, plan conflicts don't slip past you
  • Clear, direct communication with crews, clients, and leadership
  • Comfort operating in both field and office environments
  • Ability to read drawings, understand full scope, and identify issues before they become problems

Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout
  • Develop, own, and actively maintain project schedules across all phases
  • Sequence and stack trades in the correct order to keep work flowing cleanly
  • Conduct regular site visits to verify quality, safety, and readiness for the next phase
  • Review full project plans and understand complete scope before work begins
  • Lead subcontractor bidding and define clear, accurate scopes of work
  • Procure materials and manage project resources effectively
  • Manage project budgets, identify risks, and implement corrective solutions
  • Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and clients
  • Facilitate preconstruction meetings and perform site assessments prior to project start
  • Prepare and submit weekly progress reports to clients and stakeholders
  • Manage and track submittments, shop drawings, RFIs, and design coordination
  • Manage change orders and ensure all scope changes are documented and approved
  • Review in-house drafting, markups, and construction documentation for accuracy
  • Compile and deliver complete project closeout packages

  • 401(k) matching
