Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Master’s degree required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to convey clinical conceptualizations adequately through written and spoken language
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
  • Adequate abstract reasoning skills for case conceptualization

  • Specific training and/or experience with sexual offending population and/or adolescents is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of clinicians and co-leadership (with 2nd Lead Clinician)
  • Collaborate with Milieu Supervisor to assist with oversight of program
  • Collaborate with consulting therapists, including Psychiatrists
  • Participate in the investigation and resolution of clinical grievances
  • Provide new Clinician orientation, training and development
  • Provide a clinical orientation, training, and development
  • Provide a clinical training component to the Residential Team and New Employee Trainings
  • Maintain a team meeting backup coverage plan when others are out
  • Manage the facility and maintenance of new client documentation and timelines
  • Rotate with other Residential Administration as part of the 506 on call responsibilities
  • Clinically supervise residents while following program policies and assuring compliance with sanctuary concepts and best practices within the field
  • Meet with individual clients (approximate caseload of 6-8) on a weekly (at least) basis
  • Conduct family therapy with caseload on a weekly basis
  • Complete client files, including treatment plans and clinical notes utilizing an electronic health record system
  • Participate in weekly unit meetings and provide feedback on caseload
  • Run/co-facilitate therapeutic groups
  • Set up Neuropsychic assessments as needed
  • Comply with both internal and external requirements for documentation and associated timelines
  • Prepare court reports
  • Complete regular assessments including but not limited to the PROFESSOR risk assessment, Trauma Symptom Checklist for Children, and Youth Self Reports
  • Complete SBAR's following critical incidents
  • Complete therapeutic leave paperwork and updates visit log
  • Assist in repair/restore meetings between clients and/or staff
  • Facilitate monthly treatment meetings
  • Collaborate with residential staff on treatment planning and case conceptualization
  • Maintain regular contact with juvenile probation officers and/or caseworkers for case coordination
  • Act as a clinical information liaison to the attending psychiatrist
  • Manage client’s safety planning and conduct necessary safety risk assessments such as elopement, violence, and suicide risk assessments
  • Attend required meetings (inter-agency and intra-agency)
  • Attend court hearings as needed, providing testimony as to the adjustment, progress, and treatment focus of clients
  • Offer periodic professional training to staff relative to areas of specialty
  • Participate in quarterly discharge reviews with administrative team
  • Participate in monthly rotation for weekend coverage
  • Conduct intake interviews of prospective residents
  • Transport clients in company vehicles, as needed
  • Perform other job duties as assigned
