About The Position

Sierra Vista Hospital is seeking a Lead Licensed Clinician for the Outpatient Department. This is a senior-level clinical position that serves as the primary contact for the department in the absence of the Program Manager and/or Director. The role also acts as a primary contact and mentor for other clinicians and assists with training new staff. The Lead Clinician ensures that patient services are delivered in a manner clinically appropriate to the patient’s individualized treatment plan. Responsibilities include providing direct treatment activities such as individual, family, group, or couples therapy, treatment planning/review, crisis intervention, and assessment for appropriate levels of care. Additionally, the role involves case management activities including discharge planning, referrals, collaboration with physicians and staff, appointment arrangement, utilization reviews, and coordinating aftercare services.

Requirements

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health or a related field
A minimum of two years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting.
Experience in patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning, case management and discharge planning, and communication with external review organizations is required.
Current LCSW, LMFT license in good standing required.
Complete knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
Exceptional organizational skills and engagement skills required.

Nice To Haves

DBT training is preferred.
A working knowledge of current evidenced-based practices as related to psychiatric as well as substance abuse treatment is preferred.

Responsibilities
