About The Position

In addition to the duties and responsibilities of a CLS, a Lead CLS works along with the Laboratory Director accomplishing tasks that require skills of assignment of tasks/sub-tasks, oversight and ensure completion as intended for the smooth operation of the laboratory. This role is located at 1065 Bucks Lake Road, Quincy, CA 95971.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid California CLS license and Bachelors of Science.
  • At least two (2) years of clinical laboratory experience.
  • Computer keyboard skills

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading the CLS team in the lab, is the main point of contact in the lab for any issues.
  • Creating schedules for the CLSs in the lab and submitting these to the laboratory manager for approval.
  • Reviewing/providing oversight to the RHC clinics and hospital nursing staff for point of care testing which includes annual training and assessment.
  • Perform the duties of the laboratory manager in their absence and will be available for questions and covering in the lab in case of an emergency.
  • Responsible for the oversight of proficiency testing, including the review and submission of proficiency testing data and corrective action for all failed proficiency testing.
