As the Lead Chemist, reporting to the Director - Application Lab, Fuels, Lubes, Oilfield & Coatings, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of development of new products, procedures and test methods plus troubleshooting existing ones within their functional area. You will be regarded as a solution provider to internal and external customers as well as work closely with the R&D application Director to map out current technology offerings within and outside SIG product portfolio. How You Will Make an Impact: R&D - New Product Development, Product Management Support, Customer Support Interfaces with the right stakeholders to translate required structure - property relationships into defined chemistries. Work closely with R&D App Director to maintain product portfolio and map out new technologies for fuel, lubes, oilfield and coatings application Responsible for the development and sustaining products in Oilfield, Fuel and Lubes and Coatings product lines Support alkoxylation of phenol-formaldehyde resin for Oilfield application Support customer interaction for Fuel, Lubes, and Oilfield application Uses strong interpersonal skills to interact and relate effectively; able and willing to share and receive information. Uses deductive reasoning skills; translates a complex set of ideas, issues and observations into a clear and useful explanation; leverages it into product development projects.
