About The Position

Join Southcoast Health, a not-for-profit, charitable, health system with multiple hospitals, clinics and facilities throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We are searching for a talented Lead Central Service Tech to work at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA. This role involves performing all responsibilities of a Certified Central Service Technician, managing inventory, equipment repair, and serving as a resource to technical staff. You will also collaborate with management to identify educational needs, develop training programs, and lead staff training, as well as assist with department process planning for staffing, training, and supervision.

Requirements

Successful completion of Central Service training course with Certification in Central Services Technology (CRCST) required.
Computer skills are required.
Demonstrated problem-solving and critical decision-making skills are required.
Over three (3) years experience in Central Service required.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Nice To Haves

Prior hospital experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of duties within and in support of the Central Processing Department.
Perform all responsibilities of the Certified Central Service Technician.
Assume responsibilities for inventory management and equipment repair.
Serve as resource to Technical staff.
Collaborate with Manager and Team Leader to identify educational needs, develop training programs and lead training of staff.
Assist with department process planning and control for staffing, training and supervision.
