Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of cash handling or cash register experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to train and supervise associates effectively
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills to resolve customer issues professionally and efficiently
  • Sharp attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as lead cashier or supervisor preferred
  • Knowledge of hardware and home improvement products a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train cashiers to ensure they consistently provide excellent customer service and represent our brand with pride.
  • Oversee all cash handling activities including opening and closing registers, counting cash, and reconciling discrepancies with precision and accuracy.
  • Make sure all cashiers adhere to our cash handling and cash register policies and procedures, maintaining the highest standards of operation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by personally assisting customers with purchases and inquiries, creating memorable experiences.
  • Keep our checkout area clean, organized, and professional while resolving customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with management and corporate office to enhance processes and procedures related to our checkout operations.
  • Maintain awareness of all active promotions and advertisements to maximize customer satisfaction and sales opportunities.
  • Participate in inventory management activities as needed to keep our store running smoothly.
