Rental Shop - Lead Cashier, Seasonal Full-Time
About The Position
The cashier is passionate about excellent customer service and driven to provide the best experience possible for guests and fellow employees. They are a strong leader on their team and have gone above and beyond knowledge/expertise with our point of sales system. They are responsible for staff issues/concerns, training, and direct management of their assigned team of cashiers. They will be responsible for accurate point-of-sale transactions and money handling. They will assist in boot/helmet fitting as volume determines, and will assist with other rental shop and customer duties as the need arises. Every employee is responsible for providing a positive experience for our guests and employees, with safety and fun as our top priorities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass a Background Check
- Ability to communicate clearly and calmly, respectful, and considerate to others.
- Written and oral communication in English required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous point-of-sale and cash handling experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist guests in determining what their needs are in relation to renting skis, snowboards, boots, helmets, etc.
- Assisting cashiers with their needs/issues involving the POS, change, or conducting of refunds/changes that require a manager to override.
- Assisting guests and guest coordinators with the check-in computers.
- Operates a point-of-sale system handling various forms of payment.
- Assist attendants and technicians with excellent customer service in fitting boots and helmets for guests’ needs.
- Assist with equipment return.
- Assist with organization of rental shop equipment.
- Assist with daily cleaning of rental shop, workstations and exterior areas as needed.
- Assist with end of day rental agreement paperwork.
