Foster Remodeling Solutions is seeking a Lead Carpenter for their Design Build team in Lorton, VA. The Lead Carpenter will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, including framing, additions, trim, cabinetry, and tile work. They will also schedule subcontractors, order materials, manage inspections, maintain a safe and clean worksite, mentor apprentices, and serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners.
Requirements
- 10+ years of lead carpentry/project management experience
- Real depth in residential additions, framing, trim, and cabinet setting
- Fluency with local building codes and the judgment to build it right the first time
- Pride in a tidy worksite, a square corner, and a promise kept
- High school diploma or GED
- Good driving record
Responsibilities
- Run projects start to finish, from foundation to final walkthrough.
- Handle framing, additions, trim, cabinetry, and tile work.
- Schedule subcontractors.
- Order materials.
- Keep inspections on track.
- Maintain a broom-clean and safe job site.
- Mentor apprentices and crews.
- Serve as the homeowner's primary point of contact.
