About The Position

Housewrights is a residential design-build firm that delivers new homes, additions, and remodeling projects throughout south-central Wisconsin. The Lead Carpenter is a hands-on, site-based role supporting residential remodeling and new home construction projects from start to finish. The position involves carpentry work, overseeing daily job-site activities, coordinating materials, working with subcontractors, and guiding other carpenters to help ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high quality standards.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of residential construction or remodeling experience.
• Strong skills in framing, trim work, finish carpentry, and general construction.
• Ability to manage job sites and communicate effectively with subcontractors and homeowners.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Wisconsin building codes.
• Knowledge of green building practices.
