About The Position
Worthington and Shagen Custom Builder is hiring an experienced Lead Carpenter to lead residential construction projects in the field from setup through completion. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates well with clients and team members, and knows how to keep projects moving efficiently. This position is ideal for a carpenter who can lead by example, solve problems proactively, and maintain high standards for quality, safety, and professionalism.
Requirements
- Strong residential carpentry experience
- Experience leading jobsites or supervising crews
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- High standards for workmanship, professionalism, and accountability
- Reliable attendance and strong jobsite leadership
- Commitment to safety, organization, and client satisfaction
- Expert Carpentry skills
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day jobsite operations
- Review plans, scope, and project details before and during construction
- Coordinate materials, subcontractors, and scheduling in the field
- Maintain quality, safety, cleanliness, and jobsite organization
- Communicate with clients and keep the Project Manager updated on progress, issues, and change orders
- Complete carpentry work as needed
