The Norfolk Companies is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter / Cabinet Installer who takes ownership of details, can solve challenges in the field, and lead others by example. Requirements

10+ years of carpentry, cabinet installation, or finish carpentry experience
Strong experience with custom cabinetry and detailed finish work
Demonstrated ability to lead, train, or mentor other carpenters
Confidence reading plans, layouts, elevations, and measurements
Strong troubleshooting and field problem-solving skills
Close attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a larger project team
Professional, customer-focused communication
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

Lead the installation of cabinetry, countertops, trim, and finish carpentry
Ensure installations meet Norfolk’s standards for fit, finish, accuracy, and presentation
Read and execute from plans, layouts, elevations, and measurements
Identify and resolve complex installation and field conditions
Complete detailed finish work where precision matters
Guide, support, and mentor less-experienced carpenters
Partner with Project Managers and Designers to keep projects moving
Perform quality checks and help ensure punch-list items are completed properly
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
Represent Norfolk professionally while working in customers’ homes and other high-visibility environments
