Lead Carpenter / Cabinet Installer | $1,000 Sign-On Bonus
About The Position
The Norfolk Companies is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter / Cabinet Installer who takes ownership of details, can solve challenges in the field, and lead others by example. This is an opportunity for a seasoned carpenter who wants steady, year-round work, a strong team behind them, and the chance to take the lead on high-visibility kitchen and residential installations. Qualified new hires are eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus upon successful completion of 90 consecutive days of employment, subject to Company eligibility requirements, terms, and conditions. Requirements
- 10+ years of carpentry, cabinet installation, or finish carpentry experience
- Strong experience with custom cabinetry and detailed finish work
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, or mentor other carpenters
- Confidence reading plans, layouts, elevations, and measurements
- Strong troubleshooting and field problem-solving skills
- Close attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a larger project team
- Professional, customer-focused communication
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting 50+ lbs.
Nice To Haves
- OSHA 10 Certification is a plus

Responsibilities
- Lead the installation of cabinetry, countertops, trim, and finish carpentry
- Ensure installations meet Norfolk’s standards for fit, finish, accuracy, and presentation
- Read and execute from plans, layouts, elevations, and measurements
- Identify and resolve complex installation and field conditions
- Complete detailed finish work where precision matters
- Guide, support, and mentor less-experienced carpenters
- Partner with Project Managers and Designers to keep projects moving
- Perform quality checks and help ensure punch-list items are completed properly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
- Represent Norfolk professionally while working in customers’ homes and other high-visibility environments
