About The Position

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Lead Caregiver to serve as a shift leader and working caregiver. The role ensures exceptional, consistent resident care while coaching and supporting the caregiving team. The Lead Caregiver models professionalism, accountability, and compassionate service, and helps promote residents’ quality of life.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications.
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills.
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage.
• Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) when needed.
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards.
• Review charting and ensure it aligns with Individualized Service Plans (ISPs).
• Monitor changes in residents’ conditions and communicate concerns promptly.
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members.
• Promote safety and compliance, and ensure smooth shift transitions.
