  • Strong caregiving skills and the ability to provide safe, respectful, and dependable assistance.

  • Sound judgment, critical-thinking ability, and confidence recognizing and communicating changes in client needs.
  • The ability to lead by example and support fellow caregivers in a positive, encouraging manner.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and remain proactive in a field-based role.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work successfully with clients, families, caregivers, Case Managers, and office leadership.
  • Comfort managing competing priorities in a fast-paced home care environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area and visit clients in their homes.
  • Availability to participate in on-call responsibilities and flex hours when after-hours visits are needed.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare, human services, caregiving, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience providing personal care, homemaking, companionship, or other in-home support services.
  • Experience working as a caregiver, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, Direct Care Worker, or in a related role.
  • Experience orienting, mentoring, coaching, or supporting other caregivers or field-based employees.
  • Familiarity with client service, care coordination, home care, home health, or community-based services.
  • Current CPR or first aid certification, if required by applicable state or program guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, dependable, and client-centered care in clients’ homes in accordance with their individualized service needs.
  • Conduct frequent field visits throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area, with approximately 60–70% travel to clients’ homes.
  • Serve as a positive role model and trusted resource for caregivers working throughout the territory.
  • Support the orientation, coaching, and development of new and existing caregivers through hands-on guidance and encouragement.
  • Reinforce safe-care practices, client preferences, service expectations, and BAYADA standards.
  • Observe client needs and caregiver performance during field visits, and communicate relevant updates to the office team.
  • Partner closely with Case Managers regarding changes in client condition, service concerns, caregiver needs, and follow-up actions.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with clients, families, caregivers, Case Managers, and the broader office team.
  • Help identify concerns early and use sound judgment to determine when to resolve an issue independently and when to escalate it.
  • Support caregivers with questions, provide practical guidance, and help promote confidence in the field.
  • Assist with coverage needs and help maintain continuity of care when schedules or client needs change.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation related to client visits, observations, communication, and follow-up.
  • Work independently in the field while remaining connected and accountable to office leadership and the care team.
