Lead Care Associate - Assisted Living (AL)
About The Position
This position is responsible for providing assistance to residents in Assisted Living with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity. This position supports the department manager with training of new staff and care management planning. The role involves providing assistance and leadership with medication, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living. It also includes coordinating and conducting training of new staff members, meeting with the Health and Wellness Director to review resident care issues, serving as a staff and family resource, providing emotional and social support, documenting daily logs, and informing directors of resident issues or concerns. The role emphasizes respecting and encouraging the independence and dignity of residents, as well as respecting their confidentiality.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Lead Caregiver / MedTech experience
- Acceptable fluency in English in order to perform job duties and speak, read, write, and communicate with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and applicable third parties.
- Basic computer skills

- Senior care or related field experience
- May require a CNA or CHHA licensure or other state required training
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance and leadership with medication (per state regulations), bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
- Coordinate and conduct training of new staff members and assist all team members.
- Meet on a regular basis with the Health and Wellness Director to review resident care issues.
- Serve as the staff and family resource when the director is unavailable or away from the building.
- Provide emotional and social support to residents.
- Document daily log of assistance.
- Inform the Directors of any resident issues or concerns.
- Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.
- Respect residents’ confidentiality.
