About The Position

This position is responsible for providing assistance to residents in Assisted Living with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity. This position supports the department manager with training of new staff and care management planning. The role is a Manager On Duty Position (Weekend = 32 Hours Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Flexible).

Requirements

A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Lead Caregiver / MedTech experience
1+ years of experience preferred
Senior care or related field experience
Acceptable fluency in English in order to perform job duties and speak, read, write, and communicate with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and applicable third parties.
Basic computer skills
Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely.

Nice To Haves

May require a CNA or CHHA licensure or other state required training

Responsibilities

Provide assistance and leadership with medication (per state regulations), bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
Coordinate and conduct training of new staff members and assist all team members.
Meet on a regular basis with the Health and Wellness Director to review resident care issues.
Serve as the staff and family resource when the director is unavailable or away from the building.
Provide emotional and social support to residents.
Document daily log of assistance.
Inform the Directors of any resident issues or concerns.
Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.
Respect residents’ confidentiality.
