POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead tech is an expert resource for sonographers, students, and physicians Troubleshoot equipment issues and IT concerns Assist with changing and canceling orders Assist with scanning and measurements Attend trainings, leadership meetings Lead daily huddles Help with staff interviews and coordinate shadow experiences Gather necessary data and submit ICAEL accreditation survey for renewal periods Oversee department scheduling and daily workflows of scheduled staff and students

Requirements

  • 5 years' experience performing echocardiography and vascular imaging preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, AAS or BS preferred.
  • RDCS or RCS required. AE, FE, or PE preferred
  • Graduate of formal cardiac sonography training program required.
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound techniques, principles and procedures.
  • Competence with equipment required.
  • BLS/CPR must be obtained/maintained.
  • Participates in orientation, continuing education and updates, and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.
  • Skills with imaging equipment (projectors, cine processors), digital imaging and associated QC testing equipment needed.
  • Ability to learn biomedical electronic, radiologic imaging, computer data entry, and hemodynamic monitoring skills.
