About The Position

The Art Farm NYC is seeking positive, energetic, and creative Lead Camp Teachers for its dynamic summer camp program, serving children aged 3-10. The role involves creating a fun, safe environment for growth, learning, and creativity. Successful candidates will embrace the fun of summer camp, maintain a positive attitude, and collaborate effectively with a supportive team. Lead Camp Teachers will guide campers through activities, manage behavior, and ensure a high-quality experience, motivating the team and making the summer unforgettable.

Responsibilities

• Follow schedules and lesson plans provided by the camp director
• Address child behavior concerns with the support of your team
• Promote camper safety and well-being throughout the camp day
• Lead physical education activities when required
• Provide friendly, helpful customer service to families, campers, and staff
• Support staff morale and motivation, ensuring programs are engaging and fun
• Model a professional appearance and responsible behavior for staff and campers
• Respond effectively to emergencies and manage incidents when needed
• Record medical incidents and complete required documentation
• Attend pre-program training and scheduled staff meetings
