Requirements

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Advanced ability to analyze complex business and systems problems and develop well‑reasoned recommendations.
  • Strong facilitation and influence skills; able to guide decisions through credibility and expertise.
  • Demonstrated systems thinking with an enterprise‑wide perspective.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously with minimal oversight.
  • Comfort operating in matrixed or federated ownership environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • Typically 7–10+ years of experience in business systems analysis, business analysis, or consulting in enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated experience owning analysis and solution direction for complex, cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Proven ability to influence decisions and outcomes across teams.
  • Experience producing executive‑ready analysis, recommendations, and decision support.
  • Strong working knowledge of professional services operations (e.g., accounting, project delivery, resource management).
  • Experience supporting enterprise system implementations, enhancements, or modernization efforts.
  • Demonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in professional services or consulting environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft technologies (Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Azure‑based solutions) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Independently lead analysis efforts for complex, ambiguous, and high‑impact initiatives spanning multiple teams, business units, and systems.
  • Adapt analytical approaches to address unique challenges, incomplete information, and competing stakeholder needs.
  • Define and drive solution direction, informing project planning, sequencing, and execution decisions.
  • Make decisions that influence project direction and functional outcomes, escalating risks and tradeoffs appropriately.
  • Partner with business leaders to translate needs into clear problem statements, requirements, and solution options that support strategic outcomes.
  • Assess and articulate cross‑functional impacts, dependencies, risks, and long‑term implications of proposed solutions.
  • Regularly contribute to organizational improvements by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve usability, reduce risk, or increase system effectiveness.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and go‑to resource for complex business systems questions across teams.
  • Own project‑level planning and execution for analysis and design activities.
  • Lead or co‑lead cross‑functional efforts, aligning stakeholders through structured facilitation and clear decision support.
  • Build strong working relationships across business and IT to gain buy‑in and influence outcomes without direct authority.
  • Represent Business Systems perspectives in governance, design reviews, and decision forums.
  • Lead the analysis and design of solutions involving business processes, enterprise applications, integrations, data flows, and security considerations.
  • Evaluate options across process change, configuration, customization, integration, and new technologies.
  • Partner with architecture, security, data, and infrastructure teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and are scalable and sustainable.
  • Review and challenge vendor proposals and solution designs to ensure alignment with Ulteig’s broader systems landscape.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and informal mentorship to Business Systems Analysts and other professionals.
  • Share best practices, patterns, and templates that improve analytical rigor and consistency.
  • Contribute to the ongoing maturity of Ulteig’s business analysis capability through practical leadership and example.
