Lead Business Systems Analysts take a leadership role in steering the evaluation of an organization's business processes and systems. Leveraging their expertise, they identify and implement advanced solutions to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. Leading collaboration with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze complex data, and create comprehensive documentation outlining advanced system specifications. Lead analysts take a leadership role in facilitating communication between business users and IT teams, ensuring that high-level technology solutions align strategically with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • 7+ experience as a Senior Business Systems Analyst or equivalent technology industry background
  • In-depth knowledge and ability to analyze complex business processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Extensive experience in identifying and solving business problems through innovative and practical solutions
  • Advanced communication skills to convey technical information in a clear manner to all levels
  • Proficient in collecting, documenting, and managing system requirements from stakeholders
  • Detailed understanding of highly complex multi-platform applications and systems
  • Effective communication and documentation skills to create comprehensive reports, manuals, workflows, and specifications
  • Experience with assigning tasks and managing project timelines and project resources effectively to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ability to remain flexible and adaptable to shifts in project scope, requirements, or technological advancements, while also guiding the team through these transitions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Contact Center, IVR, or digital platforms
  • Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS preferred)
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools
  • Financial Industry Experience preferred
  • Prior production support and troubleshooting preferred
  • Experience as a QA or Developer preferred
  • Exposure to security, compliance, or regulated environments
  • Experience exceeding expectations in other roles on an Agile Development Team, such as Quality Engineer, Software Engineer, Product Owner, or Scrum Master preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to gather and document business requirements for software development projects.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level analysts and provide technical guidance
  • Analyze and translate business needs into clear and concise user stories, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Orchestrate communication between business stakeholders and development teams to ensure a shared understanding of project requirements.
  • Drive analysis of existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Partner with Quality Engineers and Software Engineers to review story requirements and validate system functionality
  • Spearhead troubleshooting issues, conducting impact analysis, and recommending solutions
  • Demonstrate system enhancements with project stakeholders
  • Create flow diagrams and document technical solutions
  • Lead Agile Ceremonies such as Planning, Grooming, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and 3 Amigos
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in business analysis and Agile methodologies.
