Lead Budtender - Natures of Garden City
About The Position
Come join the growing field of cannabis! We are searching for a full time Lead Budtender for Natures of Garden City! This is a full time position, regularly scheduled 30-35 hours per week, with overtime when needed. Typically schedule for 5 shifts per week. This position requires open availability, since the store will be open from 8am - 12:00am daily, including holidays and weekends. The only day the store is closed is Christmas Day. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service and cash handling. Previous retail management experience is a significant advantage, and familiarity with the cannabis industry is a huge plus. We seek someone with a positive attitude who enjoys interacting with both customers and employees, is organized, and can adapt quickly to the dynamic nature of our industry. Given the highly regulated environment we operate in, a strong ability to follow rules, regulations, and established SOPs is essential. High ethical standards are required, as you will be handling both product and cash daily. Our culture is full of fun times and camaraderie! After all, we ARE in the cannabis industry! Requirements
- Candidates with a current badge to work in the cannabis industry in Colorado will be given heavy preference.
- Previous retail, and cash handling experience.
- Ability to accurately count both paper money and coins.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively.
- Communicate professionally through effective verbal and written skills.
- Ability to motivate staff with regards to staying on task, providing great customer service, and selling our cool products!
- Strong ability to follow rules, regulations, and established SOPs is essential.
- High ethical standards are required, as you will be handling both product and cash daily.
Nice To Haves
- Previous retail management experience is a significant advantage
- Familiarity with the cannabis industry is a huge plus

Responsibilities
- Greet customers, answer questions, and provide professional assistance
- Oversees daily operations during shifts, ensuring all team members take their breaks and lunches.
- Manages discounts and pricing issues in the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Maintains a clean and organized store environment, preparing it for customers at the start of your shift and ensuring it remains tidy throughout the shift.
- Opens the store as needed, ensuring cash drawers are prepared and balanced for the day.
- Closes the store when required, including reconciling cash in the drawer, safe, and ATM.
- Addresses escalated customer service issues as they arise.
- Ensures compliance with all regulations set forth by the Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED).
- Tracks cash movement between drawers and the safe throughout the day, including cash payments for supplies.
- Counts and records all tips at the end of each shift, ensuring the Front Desk Receptionist receives their share.
