RMR Winter 26/27 Critical Parts - Lead Boot Fitter
About The Position
Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) is seeking a Lead Boot Fitter to join their team. This role involves working closely with the Assistant Manager and other boot fitters to ensure guests receive the best gear and services. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and experience in all aspects of boot fitting, including custom beds and sales within a ski/board environment. The Lead Boot Fitter is expected to act professionally, provide excellent customer service, and lead by example for fellow staff members. This is a seasonal, part-time position running from November through April, with compensation including a base wage plus commissions.
Requirements
- Eligible to work in Canada – can provide work permit.
- 2+ years’ experience in boot fitting and custom foot beds.
- Experience selling hard goods, ski and snowboard equipment.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work independently and are self-sufficient in finding tasks in downtime.
- Team player and leads by example acting professional and respectful to team members and guests.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a lead hand or supervisor will be considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train and schedule boot fitters.
- Provide leadership to the boot fitters.
- Fit guests with ski and snowboard boots.
- Evaluate and build custom foot beds.
- Strive to exceed guest expectations.
- May include other responsibilities such as other hard goods sales, inventory counts, and other duties as assigned.
- Manage and maintain systems for customer information.
- Oversee stock and assist with boot buy.
