We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Lead – Blow Mold. This role, you will be involved in... The Blow Mold Lead will be responsible for production labor staffing, efficiency, quality, and safety. This position has a working knowledge of all Blow Mold machines and will provide relief and training to operators as needed.

  • Ability to ensure safe working practices are followed and all accidents, hazards, near misses, and property damage are reported at the required time
  • Ability to ensure production activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures, and all non-conformances are dispositioned and approved as required
  • Ability to ensure employees are provided with clear instructions/training along with the correct tools and PPE required
  • Ability to explain and demonstrates Blow Molding procedures to employees needing assistance or reinforcement
  • Ability to ensure all labor and machine attendance sheets are completed accurately and submitted as required
  • Ability to maintain housekeeping by 6S standards in the assigned work area
  • Ability to ensure correct Bill of Materials (BOM) and Work Order Labels are present at each process/machine
  • Ability to ensure assembly components and materials are requested and delivered from warehouse
  • Ability to ensure that all production is counted, tagged, and sent to the warehouse and that all unused components and materials are returned to warehouse at the end of run
  • Ability to monitor production quantities for color change, mold change and product completion
  • Ability to enter process statistics and communication
  • Ability to generate Oracle reports daily
  • Ability to regularly inspect part quality at the assigned machines to assure production of acceptable quality parts in preventing mass production of defective or unacceptable parts (scrap)
  • Ability to write Scrap tickets for non-conforming parts to be processed in Post Prime area, and/or oversee all scrap tickets generated during shift ensuring proper completion
  • Ability to participate in Continuous Improvement Initiatives
  • Ability to run all machines and auxiliary equipment as needed
  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on blow molding and auxiliary equipment
  • Ability to seek solutions for technical problems associated with assigned processes
  • Ability to follow-up of trials on new processes
  • Ability to verify manufacturing documents
  • Ability to ensure production activities are carried out within scheduled machine and labor hours
  • Ability to perform process verification prior to job commencement
  • Ability to communicate/update machine status and unacceptable part quality to Supervisor
  • Ability to follow Inspection and Test Plan
  • Ability to ensure MRB is always cleared

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates production activities related to manufacture and/or assembly, testing and packing activities as required.
  • Communicates quickly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Promotes Safety, Quality and Environmental awareness.
  • Ensure safe working practices are followed and all accidents, hazards, near misses, and property damage are reported at the required time.
  • Ensure production activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures, and all non-conformances are dispositioned and approved as required.
  • Ensure employees are provided with clear instructions/training along with the correct tools and PPE required; explain and demonstrates Blow Molding procedures to employees needing assistance or reinforcement.
  • Ensure all labor and machine attendance sheets are completed accurately and submitted as required.
  • Maintain housekeeping by 6S standards in the assigned work area. Work areas must be kept free and clear of trash (paper, plastic, cups, bottles, and gloves) or any items which are not necessary to perform work assignment.
  • Ensures correct Bill of Materials (BOM) and Work Order Labels are present at each process/machine.
  • Ensure assembly components and materials are requested and delivered from warehouse.
  • Ensures that all production is counted, tagged, and sent to the warehouse and that all unused components and materials are returned to warehouse at the end of run.
  • Monitor production quantities for color change, mold change and product completion.
  • Entry of process statistics and communication.
  • Generate Oracle reports daily.
  • Regularly inspects part quality at the assigned machines to assure production of acceptable quality parts in preventing mass production of defective or unacceptable parts (scrap). Unacceptable parts should be re-ground and must not be palletized.
  • Write Scrap tickets for non-conforming parts to be processed in Post Prime area, and/or oversee all scrap tickets generated during shift ensuring proper completion.
  • Participates in Continuous Improvement Initiatives.
  • Run all machines and auxiliary equipment as needed.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on blow molding and auxiliary equipment.
  • Seek solutions for technical problems associated with assigned processes.
  • Follows-up of trials on new processes.
  • Verify manufacturing documents.
  • Ensure production activities are carried out within scheduled machine and labor hours.
  • Perform process verification prior to job commencement.
  • Communicates/updates machine status and unacceptable part quality to Supervisor.
  • Follow Inspection and Test Plan.
  • Ensure MRB is always cleared.
  • Other duties as assigned.
