About The Position

The Lead BIM Designer will play a crucial role in our design team, focusing on modeling window wall families and supporting the BIM Manager. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the glazing industry and advanced proficiency in Revit, particularly in creating shop drawings. This is a fully remote position, open to candidates located in North America (Canada and the US) who have citizenship.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the glazing industry.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Revit, specifically in creating shop drawings.
Advanced working knowledge of Revit families and their hierarchy (Parent, Child, Type, and Instance).
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
Must have citizenship in either Canada or the US.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with fabrication processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

Model window wall families using Revit, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
Support the BIM Manager in developing and maintaining BIM standards and workflows.
Create and manage Revit families, understanding their hierarchy including Parent, Child, Type, and Instance.
Collaborate with the design and fabrication teams to ensure seamless integration of BIM models into the fabrication process.
Quickly learn and adapt to the Quest Windows Window Wall system (ECOWALL).
Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
