About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a Principal BIM Designer to join their growing West Region Water Team, focusing on civil design projects. This role will be based out of their San Francisco, California office. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual with REVIT and AutoCAD experience to gain experience and develop skills while working in a team environment and being mentored by Senior Design Engineers. The work will primarily focus on the development of 3D models and project deliverables, including 2D contract documents, using both REVIT and AutoCAD for Mechanical design.

Requirements

15 years of experience in construction or consulting related to civil, structural, and/or mechanical design projects.
Associate degree in Construction Technology or Construction Management or related field of study/experience.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Effective time management skills.
Ability to perform work independently, with senior guidance.

Nice To Haves

Understanding of BIM workflows, LOD Standards, and coordination practices
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (2022 or newer)
Proficiency in Autodesk Forma
Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D (2022 or newer)

Responsibilities

Supporting the production of project BIM/CAD deliverables, including REVIT models and drawings that are accurate, clear, concise, and compliant with Arcadis, industry, and national standards and codes of practice, as well as any other standards dictated by project/client requirements.
Providing support to the mechanical project team in delivering design and engineering projects.
Working collaboratively with other design disciplines to ensure model integrity and inter-discipline coordination.
Managing electronic documentation, such as drawing registers, and issuing documents through online collaboration platforms.
Completing assigned BIM/CAD tasks within budget and deadlines as directed by senior staff.
Assisting with field assignments when required, which may involve occasional travel.
