About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Lead Behavioral Health Technician for its detox and residential treatment facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The role manages daily residential operations, supports and trains the Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) team, and helps maintain a warm, positive recovery environment. The Lead Behavioral Health Technician oversees client engagement and compliance with Avenues rules, policies, and procedures, and escalates concerns or crises as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality and ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• Valid driver's license.
• CPR certification.
• For applicants in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily residential operations, including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications.
• Train and support the BHT team in operational duties and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment.
• Ensure clients and BHTs comply with Avenues rules, policies, and procedures.
